Electricity is private on the island, making everything more expensive, and water is also precious. Please be mindful of electricity by turning off the air conditioning when you leave the property or if you have doors or windows open, and you can save water by using the washing machine and dishwasher or reusing towels.
Reminder: Please note that electricity is charged separately at a rate of $20 per day. The total is calculated based on meter readings taken at arrival and departure. A 5% daily allowance is applied as a discount to the final rate.
Please note that as we are on an island, occasional power outages may occur unexpectedly. While we do not currently have a generator, there are solar-powered lights available outdoors for your convenience.

Sand flies, geckos and ants are all part of the island experience, and are normal and harmless in tropical areas, although we keep our home up to date with spraying, you may also see the Ruatan Island agouti around.
