Cancellation Policy
At Do Roatan Day Tours, we understand that travel plans can change due to cruise ship itinerary shifts or unexpected weather. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and stress-free for our guests.
1. Ship-Related Cancellations (100% Refund)
If your cruise ship is unable to dock at the Roatán ports (Mahogany Bay or Coxen Hole) due to inclement weather, technical issues, or a change in the cruise line’s itinerary, you are entitled to a 100% full refund. We monitor port schedules daily, so in these cases, the refund or cancellation of your booking will be handled automatically.
2. Standard Cancellation by the Client
We offer a flexible cancellation window for our guests:
- Cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to the scheduled tour time: Full refund of any deposit or payment made.
- Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours prior to the tour: A 50% cancellation fee may apply, or we can offer a credit for a future visit.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the tour or “No-Shows”: No refund will be issued.
3. Weather and Safety Cancellations
Your safety is our top priority. If local authorities close the parks or if sea conditions make activities like snorkeling or boat tours unsafe, we will notify you as soon as possible. In such events, we will offer:
- An alternative itinerary with inland activities (Sloths, Monkeys, City Tour, etc.).
- A partial refund if only a specific activity was cancelled.
- A full refund if the entire tour must be cancelled by our team.
4. Late Arrivals and “No-Show” Policy
For cruise guests, we provide detailed meeting instructions for both Mahogany Bay and Coxen Hole. We allow a 30-minute grace period from the agreed meeting time. If you do not arrive and we are unable to reach you via the contact information provided (Phone/WhatsApp), the tour will be marked as a “No-Show” and no refund will be provided.
5. Refund Processing
Since we use secure external payment links for all credit and debit card transactions, refunds are processed back to the original form of payment. Please note:
- It may take 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your bank statement, depending on your financial institution.
- Transaction fees charged by the payment processor at the time of booking are generally non-refundable.
