Amazing experience! Our day with Afan was incredible! We had a wonderful time exploring the entire island with him. He made us feel like old friends. The mangrove tour and lunch at Hole in the Wall were my favorite parts. I highly recommend taking a day trip with him!

Fun but quick . It was fun but short. Three stops... monkeys, sloths, and birds. The staff were friendly and courteous. I would ask them to have real soap in the restrooms for washing up after handling the animals. Otherwise, we had a good time.

A perfect option for families visiting Roatán! Afan delivered a perfect Roatán tour for our family! We enjoyed quick stops for local favorites and were escorted right to the front of the line for a monkey and sloth visit. We finished our trip with a few hours on a beautiful beach, perfect for lunch and jet skiing. It was a day we won't soon forget. Thank you, Afan. We truly couldn't have asked for a better time!

Afen is your guy in Roatán! Afen was AMAZING! He was very polite and punctual. He picked us up at the port and promptly escorted us to our first excursion: ziplining! He escorted half of my group to the equipment loading area and the other half to a lookout point. My parents didn't go on the ziplines, but Afen made sure they were comfortable and had coffee/juice while the other half of the group was busy going down 11 lines. After the ziplines, he had a tour guide ready to take us to see all the animals on the grounds: monkeys, birds, and sloths! We have to see the sloths! Then we headed to the yellow semi-submarine, but before this stop, he blessed us with his amazing empanadas. They were delicious! Then we loaded up on a semi-submarine that allowed us to see parts of the coral reef and fish that a snorkeling experience would allow you to see. Finally, we headed to the beach. The beach was beautiful but extremely crowded, which was to be expected since it was during the Christmas holidays. Overall, I was extremely happy that I booked a private tour with Afen instead of a big, crazy travel company. He took great care of us. If you're unsure whether to book with Afen, this is your sign to book with him. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. I 1000% recommend this tour!

This was a wonderful tour in a clean and safe environment for the animals. Thanks to the attention of the park employees, everyone got the opportunity to interact with all of the animals. Fun with Afan!
We literally just returned home from our Western Caribbean cruise that included Roatan, Honduras and a private tour with "Do Roatan Day Tours". This was the best tour we have taken thus far during our cruising life and our guide, Afan, was phenomenal. From the initial signup questions I had regarding pricing and billing to texting me the day we arrived at the Roatan port, letting me know where to look for him once we exited the port, I felt confident about the company. Once we were greeted we hopped into his vehicle and were off on our adventure which included discussions and points of interest as we drove from location to location, a local market and chocolate store where you could watch them making chocolate, a monkey, sloth and Macaw reserve and the rum company located high atop a hill with an awesome view of the coast below. Afan was very knowledgeable and courteous. This is exactly the kind of tour our family loves, learning about the local culture and not just a canned point to point drive. While I realize this probably sounds like a typical review, let me say, this tour review was from a Royal Caribbean cruise my bride and I took with most of our adult children. She and I will be back in Roatan in 3 weeks on a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise with my siblings and if nothing else, have let Afan know we will be booking another tour with him, even if just to spend time with him and visit. From the moment we stepped off our cruise ship, Affan exceeded every expectation. He was waiting exactly where he said he would be, and even though the port area was a bit chaotic with so many tour operators trying to recruit passengers, he spotted us immediately, guided us through the crowd, and made us feel comfortable from the very beginning.

His spacious, air-conditioned SUV was a welcome relief in the Honduran heat, and we were able to enjoy the day in comfort. Throughout the tour, he took us to wonderful places that showcased the very best of Roatán. We visited talented local woodworkers, sampled delicious island chocolates, and spent time at the sloth and monkey sanctuary—an unforgettable experience that was one of the highlights of our cruise.

What truly set Affan apart, though, was his kindness and willingness to go above and beyond. Our family collects local currency from the places we visit to give to children back home, and when we mentioned it, he made an unscheduled stop just to help us. He even went inside, exchanged money from his own pocket, and made sure we had local Honduran currency to take home. It may seem like a small gesture, but it meant the world to us and is something we will never forget.

One of the main reasons we chose Affan in the first place was because he and his wife previously worked for the cruise lines. That experience gave us tremendous confidence that they understood cruise schedules and the importance of getting passengers back to the ship on time. Had it not been for that background, I probably would have been hesitant to book an independent tour. Looking back, I am so thankful we did. Our experience was far better than what many people from our ship described from the cruise-sponsored excursions—and it cost significantly less.

Thank you, Affan, for taking such wonderful care of our group and for making our day in Roatán so memorable. We've already recommended you to friends who are cruising later this year, and if we're ever fortunate enough to return to your beautiful island, you'll be the very first person we contact for another adventure.

We stayed 8 days and 7 nights in a beautiful Air B&B with the most tremendous view. A highlight of our stay was most definitely Afan. He picked us up from the airport, took us grocery shopping twice and he coordinated an ATV excursion, a snorkel trip, and a visit to see the monkeys and sloths at absolutely amazing prices. Afan is quick to respond and has a deep familiarity with the entire area. So if you are looking for an expert that attentive, communicates and has a desire to ensure your experience exceeds your expectations… Afan is your man, don’t hesitate, you won’t regret.
