Christine Chance599 days agoWe have spent multiple days with Afan and each was priceless! Hugs from a sloth and ziplining upside down have to be some of our highlights but each day was so unique and created countless memories. We could've hugged those sloths and played with those sassy monkeys all day long. Afan responds quickly, customizes any tour you want (I've added some extra pics of our other tours with him), has great life experience, knows everyone and everything about Roatan, has a great sense of humor and his family is just fun to hang out with. GREAT EXPERIENCE AND TOUR GUIDE! This was an excellent personalized tour. Our guide was standing right outside the port with our name on a sign. Very easy to find. The monkeys and sloths were amazing. The rum cake factory was great! Shopping was great! Photo at the Roatán sign. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. Talking to him felt like family! Dale was great! I would definitely recommend this tour to others visiting the area!

Ashley Anderson842 days agoAfan is the absolute best tour guide. We first use him February 2023 and we had the best time. He pretty much brought us to all the best places to see. The sloths and monkeys were amazing. The chocolate factory was delicious. The Rum Factory had the most amazing views. We left with a lifelong friend. I contacted him again while on the ship in November of 2023 and booked another trip. He was able to accommodate a group of 10 on that trip. We booked him again January 2024. Again, had the best trip. We want to look at booking a trip to Honduras to visit and explore everything and get to know Afan and his family. Dean T2432 days agoAmazing tour with amazing service!!! I don’t know where to start. Afan is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of all the hot spots, tours, restaurants, locals etc, etc. My wife, kids (14,16,17) and I, used Do Roatan Day Tours almost daily during our stay on Roatan. You tour in comfort in a mini van. We did so many trips its hard to put it all down. Island tour, rum/chocolate factory, sloth / animal sanctuary, meals at various restaurants, etc, etc. Will also take you for the most amazing local donuts on Roatan. Even trips just to shop for groceries. You can arrange for airport pick up and drop off. Afan is a hard worker and a real go getter. Afan’s service is second to none and we look forward to returning and using him again. You come as a tourist and leave this great island with a friend. The guides were amazing, knowledgeable, engaging, and very personable. The tour was recommended by my neighbor who had taken it the previous year and the tour did not disappoint. Meeting instructions were clear and JJ was the best, most gracious and fun host we could’ve asked for. Each stop along the way delivered - holding a sloth and macaw will bring out all the feels, the chocolate is scrumptious, and the rum so amazingly smooth! Bring money for purchases; the chocolate and rum are fantastic. Book this experience and you just might want to stay in Roatan!!!Posted on Airbnb

I’ve used Do Roatan Day Tours for a few years and never have I been disappointed! Afan has made it so easy for us from the time of booking to the end. Trustworthy too! Loved seeing parts of the island I wouldn’t have seen if it wasn’t for Afan! Cant beat great conversation and learning about Roatan! Can’t wait to go back!!Posted on Tripadvisor
E9954AKdonaldm2384 days agoAfan’s Tours Rock! Our party of 6 adults had a private tour day with Afan and it was excellent. We toured the nature preserve, fed monkeys, held a sloth and experienced the butterfly enclosure. At Half Moon Bay we had a ride on the glass bottom boat and then a private lunch on a veranda overlooking the bay. Excellent local cuisine. Basically we saw points of interest around the west end of the island. We appreciated Afan’s knowledge of the area, culture and recommendations.Posted on Google
Petra Goodman238 days agoAFAN is the BEST This was our third time and we decided to book a trip with Afan to see the island. He picked us up on time with cold water and we were ready for our adventure. Afan has big knowledge about the island and that made our trip even better because we had a lot of questions:)) We spent some money at the rum factory for sure but the view was spectacular . If you love chocolate definitely try chocolate factory... you will not be disappointed. Afan also took us zip lining and to see local animals. We held parrots, hung out with monkeys and got to experience a sloth. Our ability to interact with the animals and see parts of Roatan was exactly what we wanted. THANK YOUPosted on Tripadvisor

It’s also just a pleasant walk to West End Beach, where you’ll find as much activity and entertainment as you like, along with stunning sunsets! Afan went above and beyond my expectations in every single moment of those tour. My kids are still talking about how excellent this experience was. Sheila32 days agoOur stay at CalmAway Cottage was our best AirBnB experience ever. We loved the pool which was super refreshing. We like to cook and found that the kitchen had everything we needed. Ahmed570 days agoA very nice place with great attention to detail. It has everything you'd expect from an Airbnb and more. Beautiful finishes, a private pool, and comfortable rooms. We had some issues with the hot water, but it was resolved quickly. If you stay at this Airbnb, you'll need a car since there aren't any tourist attractions within walking distance. A small tour worked well for us. That said, it's very close to the West End, several tourist attractions, a supermarket, and pharmacies. We had a great time.

He has the best guides and recommendations for places to eat, drink, relax, swim, or go on excursions. His humor is arguably the best part of the tour. The views during the trips and the places he takes you are breathtaking. He's always on time, safe, and reliable. As a woman who has traveled there alone, I feel extremely comfortable riding with Afan.
